LOS ANGELES-(October 21, 2008)-  Ms. Tia Fishback of Los Angeles won a new BMW series 128 after registering in the third annual Farmers Insurance Group® Angel City Classic, a football game tradition which featured two powerhouses Morehouse College and Prairie View A&M University on September 27th in the Los Angeles Coliseum.

Fishback will be presented the new BMW on October 22, 2008 at 10 A.M. at Long Beach BMW, 2998 Cherry Ave, Signal Hill, CA 90755. Attending the presentation will be Farmers executives, KTWV 94.7-the Wave and their street team, the Long Beach Press Telegram and local community.

Thousands of Southern Californians registered on the "Are You the 1?" sweepstakes Web site for a chance to win the vehicle. But there could only be one winner, and that was Fishback. Her name was announced live on FOX Sports Net during the telecast of the Classic and she was shown on the video board along with Kenneth Adams, Farmers Emerging Markets, Neil Okun, general manager, Long Beach BMW and salesperson, Byron Jackson.

“Through our working relationship with Black Educational Events, we were pleased to play an important role in making this year’s Farmers Angel City Classic an awesome experience for all of Los Angeles,” said Faye W. McClure, vice president of Strategic Marketing for Farmers.  “The ‘Are You the 1?’ sweepstakes was a great addition to the many marketing promotions we executed during the months leading up to the Classic. And we are very excited that Tia was the winner.”

“When I heard my name called at the Coliseum that day, I couldn’t believe it. It’s like time stood still for a second and then it really sank in that I won,” Fishback exclaimed. “I got up and started to make my way to the front of the stadium where the car was located. Shortly after that I was greeted by Farmers Insurance and Long Beach BMW reps that helped me get ready for the video shot, inside the stadium as I waived to the crowd.”

Neil Okun, Long Beach BMW, said his dealership couldn’t be happier to help Farmers deliver the new BMW series 128 to Ms. Fishback.  “We were proud to be a part of the Farmers promotion for the Angel City Classic. It was a win-win for both organizations and we hope Ms. Fishback will enjoy her new vehicle. Maybe she can drive it to next year’s Farmers Angel City Classic and show it off a bit.”
